Ways to Permanently Delete Photos and Videos on Samsung Phone

Most of the Samsung user know how to delete their photos and videos on the phones, but do they also know that those simply deleted photos and videos can be easily recovered by some data recovery software? Sounds like a good new. Because when you accidentally lost or deleted the files, you can turn to these software for help. However, it will be disaster for those people who don't want their private information to be retrieved or discovered by anyone else. So, what can we do to remove photos and videos from Samsung phone? There are two ways to resolve it. Check it below.

Delete Photos and Videos from Samsung Phone with Default Factory Reset

If you don't want to keep the ownership of your Samsung phone, factory reset is a good way to protect your photos and videos from leaking. But please note that factory reset will delete all the data in your phone, make sure to backup the important files before performing.

1. Encrypt

Before factory resetting, encrypting your Samsung phone is a very important step to guarantee the security of the phone. It will increase the difficulty of recovering your data and no one can get them.
In order to successfully encrypt your phone, you will need to keep the phone plugging in while encrypting.

Go to the Settings app > Tap on Security > At the bottom of the screen, you will see the option of Encrypt device, tap on it and start encrypting your data

2. Factory Reset

It will completely erase all your custom setting and restore to its default setting when you first got it.

Go to the Settings app > Find and tap the Backup and reset > Scroll down and you will see the Factory data reset, tap it and it will erase all of the data on your device. If needed, enter your PIN.

It might take a long time to perform the process. When it finishes, not only the photos and videos, but contacts, call logs, messages, etc. will be removed.  Downloading and filling your phone with dummy data after performing the factory reset will overwrite the old data on your device, which will make it more difficult or impossible to recover. This is optional for most people, but recommended if you had sensitive data on your phone. It would be better if you repeat the two steps mentioned above for several times, as there is no chance to find the deleted data back after several encryption and factory reset. It's much safer to protect your privacy.

Delete Photos and Videos from Samsung Phone with Clean Master

Although the factory reset can delete all the Samsung phone data, but it will take a long time, which means you have to stare at your phone in case it corrupts or fails. If I tell you there is tool that can save a lot of time and provide you with selective deletion, would you like to try it? If yes, I'd recommended Jihosoft Mobile Privacy Eraser. It offers three erasing types and five different cleaning algorithms. What's more, it only needs three steps and 100% permanently delete the files.

1) Connect: Run the software on the PC, connect your Samsung phone to it and enable the USB debugging on the phone.
