How to Clear the Browsing History

We are living in the era of Internet now. Most of us use different browsers to search the things we want to know. This dose increase our knowledge and expand our horizon, however, also expose our privacy, which may get ourselves in trouble. Anyone has his/her secrets with the browsers, like searching the surprising gift for the loved and children, or enjoying one’s distinctive hobbies, etc. You surely don’t want your naughty boys to find out when they use your computer or mobile phone. What’s more, too many caches and cookies will slow down your computer and mobile phone. Thus, you also need to clear caches and cookies sometimes. If you expect no one will see what you have been doing online, you should know how to clear your browser history every now and again.

In this article, four browser will be explained how to clear browsing history: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera Mini, Internet.

 

Google Chrome

On computer:

Open Chrome > click the three dots on the right top > find History and click it or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + H > choose the histories you want to delete > click DELETE on the top right > tap REMOVE to clear


If you not only decide to clear browsing history, but also clear the browsing caches and cookies, try the following steps:

Open Chrome > click the 3 dots on the top right > move to More tools and click Clear browsing data or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Del > select the item you want to delete, and make sure check the box of Browsing history > click CLEAR BROWSING DATA button in the lower right corner



On Android phone or tablet:

Open Chrome on the phone > tap the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner > click Settings > press the CLEAR BROWSING DATA on the bottom > mark Clear browsing history on the pop-up> click Clear button to conduct the deletion

On iPhone:

Open Chrome on iPhone > tap the 3-dot menu > click Settings > scroll down to tap Privacy > tap Clear Browsing Data at the bottom > select Browsing History or others you want to delete > tap the red color Clear Browsing Data button > tap Clear Browsing Data again to confirm


Mozilla Firefox

On computer:

Open Firefox > tap the hamburger menu button > click History and tap Clear Recent History/use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Del > check the Browsing & Download History box and select the time range > click Clear Now to clear the browsing history


On Android phone or tablet:

Open Firefox on Android > tap the three vertical dots in the top right > choose History > tap CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY bottom at the screen bottom > click OK to confirm



Opera Mini

On computer:

Open Opera Mini > click Opera menu button in the top left > choose History or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + H > tap Clear browsing data on the right > mark Browsing history or other items you wish to clear, and select the time > click Clear browsing data button

On Android:

Open Opera Mini on Android phone > click the Opera icon at the bottom right > tap Settings > choose Privacy > click Clear history > tap Yes to continue the deletion



Internet (Android Default)

On Android:

Open Internet browser on Android device > click three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner > click Settings > choose Privacy and security > in the BROWSING DATA heading, tap Clear history 


Or open Internet browser > click the bookmarks star at the bottom right > choose History > tap the trash can icon in the upper right corner > click Yes to clear all history




Additional Tips:
If you don’t want to clear your browsing history very often, you might turn to browse in privacy/incognito mode. In this mode, your browsing history will not saved, but caches and cookies will.
